Success with Nightlylockup Campaign

January 5, 2018 9:25 AM

Many of you know we tried a social media campaign over the holidays to remind people to lock up their cars.   It was on Twitter under #Nightlylockup and we had some billboards throughout the county as well.  Off. Tyler Grigg coordinated much of it.   As a result, we did experience an increase in social media followers.  We also saw 38 less theft from autos during the holiday season as we did in the same period in 2016.  That is 38 less people who were victimized in our community!

Now,  it is time to work on Auto Theft, we had 438 cars stolen in 2017!  This is a 15% increase over 2016.   Please, please, please, don't leave your car unattended, unlocked and running. The majority of these stolen cars are preventable and many of them end up like this!
