MISSION

The PSRC shall be advisory to the Mayor and the Common Council to assist them in the performance of their statutory duties regarding the police & fire departments. The role of the PSRC shall in no way interfere with the lawfully prescribed powers and duties of the Common Council, the Police & Fire Commission, the Mayor or the Chiefs of the respective Police or Fire Depts. The PSRC may review service priorities and capital budget priorities; serve as liason between the community & the City on public safety issues; annually review and make recommendations re: the annual work plans and long-range goals of the departments.
