Permits

Contractors, property owners or neighborhood associations may need to apply for a permit or license from the Traffic Engineering Division depending upon the type of work being performed.

Work activities requiring permits include:

  • Street Occupancy

A Street Occupancy Permit is required when your project requires materials or machinery to be placed in the street, on sidewalks, in alleys, or on public grounds.

  • Driveway Standards

When constructing or modifying a driveway, applicants must follow all city requirements, obtain the proper online permits, and are responsible for construction, including any required conduit installation. This also outlines the different types of driveway entrances the city allows and the basic rules for how each must be built.

  • Parade Permit

A Parade Permit is needed when an organized event such as a parade occurs on city streets or within the city right of way

  • Decorative Pavement Painting

Enhance your local neighborhood with a pavement design that can bring neighbors together, help build community, and beautify your neighborhood.
