Monona Golf Course, a 9-hole regulation course, is located on Madison's eastside. The par-36 course features well bunkered fairways and greens. It also has an excellent driving range with all natural grass tees. Monona offers a fully equipped clubhouse. In addition, this an excellent facility for small company or convention outings.

Meet the Pros
Theran Steindl Golf Operations Supervisor (East)
Theran is the Golf Operations Supervisor for City of Madison East Golf Courses: Yahara Hills and Monona. He is graduate of San Diego Golf Academy in Myrtle Beach, SC where he earned a degree in Business and Facility Management. Theran has worked in the golf business since 2004 at various location and positions. Before working with Golf Madison Parks he worked as the Head Professional at Glen Erin Golf Club and Head Professional / General Manager at Towne Country Club. Theran has been involved with extensive golf instruction from beginner to Division 1 college golfers alike and played competitively for many years. With training in instruction with Natural Golf he is able to help golfers with disabilities and special needs by utilizing their specific strengths to optimize their games. In his off time from golf he enjoys playing competitive hockey and watching his beloved Badgers.
Dan Marks Assistant Clubhouse Supervisor, Monona Golf Course
While growing up, Dan lived across the street from Monona Golf Course and began playing golf at the age of 4. By playing there so often, he was offered a job with various cleaning duties and in the golf shop at the course. Dan worked at Monona for the 1996 season and in 1997, he transferred to Yahara Hills. Dan is excited to take on this new opportunity back where he began, at Monona Golf Course. In his off time he enjoys playing golf and is an avid bowler during the winter months. Dan enjoys hanging out with his family, especially his son Brodie.
