This popular west side 18-hole regulation golf course is a test to golfers of all abilities and levels. The par-72 course is one of the most popular in the state and hosts several city tournaments each year. The scenic landscape and convenient location off of the Beltline Highway challenges golfers from throughout the Midwest. The expansive clubhouse offers a lounge, locker rooms, pro shop and great food service. A large putting green and driving range compliment the facility.

Ryan Brinza, PGA Madison Parks Head Golf Professional (West)

Ryan Brinza

Ryan Brinza is the PGA Head Golf Professional for the City of Madison West Golf Courses: Odana Hills and Glenway. Ryan began playing golf at the age of 5 with his father at Vitense Golfland, just down the road from Odana Hills. At the age of 14, he started working at Door Creek to pay for a new set of golf clubs and worked in a variety of areas ultimately landing as a pro shop attendant. After college, Ryan entered the PGA Professional Golf Management Program and took a job as the Assistant Golf Professional at Odana Hills Golf Course. After five years, he became the First Assistant Golf Professional at Odana Hills and finished his PGA education in December of 2013. Ryan became a PGA Certified Professional in the field of Golf Operations and started as a Head Golf Professional at the beginning of the 2014 season. Sergio "Sigi" Gon Assistant Golf Professional, Odana Hills Golf Course

Sergio ''Sigi'' Gon

Sergio Gon was born and raised in Ronchi dei Legionari, Gorizia, Italy. After graduating from a technical college and completing military duty he moved to United States in 1996. His first employment was in the restaurant business and with the help of his new friends he discovered golf and he fell in love with it right away. In 2001, Sergio started as the assistant golf professional at Odana Hills Golf Course, where he has taught lessons to kids and adults. He has become one of the friendly and familiar faces at the golf course. He is mostly known as Sigi, a nickname given to him as a little kid from his Italian buddies.

Jake Severson

Jake grew up on the Madison's northside. His passion for golf began at an early age and continued throughout his childhood, always seeking ways to become a better player and an ambassador of the game. Jake began working at Odana Hills in the spring of 2015 as a golf shop attendant and advanced the following season to Assistant Golf Pro, learning as much as possible about the business of golf. It is his aspiration to become the Head Professional at his own course in the future. Jake is pursuing a PGA Membership by taking his Playing Ability Test and entering the PGA Professional Golf Management program. Jake is also excited to begin teaching the game of golf through Golf Madison Parks. When Jake is not at the golf course, he is spending his time with friends and family, watching Wisconsin sports, or enjoying the great outdoors.

Don't miss out on our next installment of our FREE INSTRUCTION SATURDAY SERIES coming up this Saturday, May 7th at Yahara Hills Golf Course, starting at 12:00 noon. This free clinic will be hosted by Yahara Hills PGA Professional, Kyle Lindert and will focus on the short game with short pitch and chip shots. Clinic will meet at the practice green.
