Yahara Hills Golf Course

Conveniently located 1/2 mile east of I-90 (exit 142B), this 36-hole regulation course is spread over 400 acres of rolling hillside. Yahara Hills Golf Course opened in 1967. It is Madison's largest facility with two 18-hole championship courses and has hosted various national and state tournaments. Both 18-hole courses feature large bunkered greens, well-placed hazards and beautiful water features. A practice area, which includes a 40, 000 square foot putting green and large driving range, is suitable for major competitions and available for those who would like to sharpen their skills.

Theran Steindl Madison Parks Head Golf Professional (East)

Theran Steindl

Theran is the Head Golf Professional for City of Madison East Golf Courses: Yahara Hill and Monona. He is graduate of San Diego Golf Academy in Myrtle Beach, SC where he majored in Business and Facility Management. Theran has worked in the golf business for nine years at various location and positions. Most recently as the Head Professional at Glen Erin Golf Club and Head Professional / General Manager at Towne Country Club. Theran has been involved with extensive golf instruction from beginner to Division 1 college golfers alike. With training in instruction with Natural Golf he is able to help golfers with disabilities and special needs by utilizing their specific strengths to optimize their games. Kyle Lindert, PGA Assistant Golf Professional, Yahara Hills Golf Course

Kyle Lindert

Kyle is a graduate of the Professional Golf Management Program at Ferris State University in Michigan and is a Class A PGA Professional, working in the golf industry since 2007. Most notably, Kyle worked at the Geneva National in Lake Geneva, WI and at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort in Bandon, OR. Kyle has very broad experience within the golf industry working as a Caddie, Custom Club Fitter, Assistant Golf Professional, and as a Teaching Professional. He has a very deep passion for golf instruction and for helping every golfer to maximize their playing ability in a simple and understanding manner. In his time away from the course, he enjoys spending time with friends and family and is also very dedicated to his yoga practice. Kyle practices yoga 4 to 5 times per week and says it has been an extremely valuable asset to his golf game.

Dan Marks

While growing up, Dan lived across the street from Monona Golf Course and began playing golf at the age of 4. By playing there so often, He was offered a job with various cleaning duties and in the golf shop at the course. Dan worked at Monona for the 1996 season and in 1997, he transferred to Yahara Hills where he remains today. In his off time he enjoys playing golf and is an avid bowler during the winter months. Dan enjoys hanging out with his family, especially his son Brodie.

FREE INSTRUCTION SATURDAY CONTINUES THIS SATURDAY AT ODANA HILLS GOLF COURSE

Join Odana Hills Assistant Golf Professional Jake Severson as he hosts Free Instruction Saturday, this coming Saturday May 28th from 12:00 noon until 1:00.

Having trouble getting off the tee accurately or are you sacrificing distance? Jake will cover the driver and woods by providing instruction focusing on a proper setup, stance, alignment and ball position. Have a nasty slice or terrible hook? Jake will also cover basics in how to eliminate those and get the ball to move more consistently down the fairway.

There is no need to sign up, just show up. This free instruction series lesson will take place at the Odana Hills Golf Course Driving Range.
