Come out to Vilas Park for a UW Women's Hockey meet and greet at Vilas Park. Vilas Park is a location where many UW athletes and Olympic stars have learned to skate.
Madison Parks and the University of Wisconsin athletic department will host the fourth Wisconsin women's hockey outdoor team skate from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 19 at Vilas Park.
Fans are invited to skate with the Badgers before a short meet and greet with players and coaches from the team and Madison Parks. Admission is free, and all ages are welcome to attend. Fans can either bring their skates or rent skates at Vilas Park for a fee.
Along with meeting and skating with the U.W. Women’s Hockey Team, skaters will also be treated to a special Groove & Glide party on the ice. Madison Parks will provide music and games on the ice to make the event even more festive!
The Badgers also remind fans to mark their calendars for this season's fourth annual Fill the Bowl game on Feb. 15 against No. 1 Minnesota at 7:00 p.m. Fans are encouraged to donate a non-perishable food item to benefit the Second Harvest Foodbank. The team invites fans to help them in their pursuit to once again break the NCAA attendance record of 12,402 fans which was set at 2012’s Fill the Bowl game. Fans are strongly encouraged to purchase tickets in advance to avoid waiting in line on game day.
