Waiver for Objection Deadline

You must file any assessment objections by Friday, May 3, 2024 at 4:30pm. If you miss the May 3 filing deadline, you will need to request a waiver from the Board of Review.

To request a waiver, you must come to one of the first five Board of Review meetings and present your reason for missing the deadline. Please be aware that the waiver is granted and objections automatically accepted at the first meeting. The legal standard changes to extraordinary circumstances and the Board weighs your reasoning before granting a waiver in the second, third, fourth, and fifth meetings. It is not automatically granted.

  • If you miss the filing deadline, you can request a waiver at the first meeting. You must appear in the first two hours of the meeting and submit your objection form in person.
  • If you miss the first meeting of the Board of Review, you can request a waiver at the second, third, fourth, or fifth meeting. The Board will determine whether your reason is sufficient, and will approve or deny the waiver. If the Board of Review approves your waiver, you will fill out the objection form, and the Board of Assessors will review your appeal. If the Board of Review does not find your reason for missing the deadline to be sufficient, they will deny the waiver.
