Youth Academies

We are proud to host two annual youth camps in the summer. Camps are one week long day camps, in which participants are provided breakfast/light snacks in the morning, lunch, and all activities and transportation at no expense. Camps are available to youth entering 7th and 8th grade in Madison. In order to provide campers a high-quality, individualized experience, capacity is limited.

Latino Youth Academy

Latino Youth Academy is co-hosted by CORE and Amigos en Azul. Participants have to be nominated by an educator, principal or bilingual resource specialist to be considered for Latino Youth Academy. Campers are introduced to some of the inner workings of law enforcement, and interact with specialized units like Mounted Patrol, K9 and Motor. Participants also experience the fire department side of first response, and have the opportunity to don turnout gear and test their own abilities! Latino Youth Academy concludes with a graduation celebration for campers, their families, and all the staff who assist throughout the week.
