Fingerprinting Services
Fingerprinting services are available through the Madison Police Department for the general public or those applying for professional licenses. The Madison Police Department does not fingerprint juveniles.
The cost for fingerprinting is $10 per card. Acceptable identification to request fingerprinting from MPD Records Services is any valid U.S. state: driver's license, state issued ID or a U.S. passport. Additionally, a valid passport from a different country with a photo will be acceptable. Copies of identification will always be made for MPD.
Fingerprinting services are available Wednesdays and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Madison Police Records office located at 211 S. Carroll St., Room GR-10. Fingerprinting is a walk-in service and is done on a first-come, first-serve basis. We do not take appointments. Customers should expect to be waiting or being fingerprinted for a minimum of one hour and should make a plan with parking accordingly.
Other local agencies offer fingerprinting services.
