200 Volunteers Needed for Ride the Drive!!

Ride the Drive - Westside, presented by the City of Madison and Madison Parks, is fast approaching. Join us on Sunday, August 18 from 10am-3pm for the second Ride the Drive event for summer 2013, hosted in a Westside neighborhood. As with previous Ride the Drive events, Ride the Drive-Westside is free and open to the public. Volunteers Needed for Ride the Drive Want to be a part of one of the coolest and active events in the city?! In order to make this popular event happen, volunteers are ESSENTIAL. The event is now less than a month away - and we need volunteers to sign up. To successfully run this event, about 200 very cool, fun volunteers are needed. As of today, we only have 30 very cool and fun people who have signed up as volunteers. If you have enjoyed Ride the Drive in the past, but haven't yet volunteered - Sign up to help this year! Bring your friends or family along (they're cool and fun, right??)- volunteer for a couple of hours, get a very cool RTD volunteer t-shirt and spend the rest of the day showing off your cool RTD volunteer t-shirt while riding your cool bike around the event. During the event, roads on the three mile route are open for participants to bicycle, skate or walk through some of Madison's signature streets- including Regent Street and Segoe Road. Participants will enjoy activities, informational booths, musicians, food vendors and a drawing for prizes at "villages" along the route. Activity villages will be set up at Garner Park, Rennebohm Park and on Segoe Road. A full list of events, vendors and activities is posted on the Ride the Drive-Westside website.
