School Supplies For Kids grew out of one local neighborhood wanting to help area schoolchildren in need 21 years ago. Now in 2014, this quiet homegrown charity set a goal of fundraising $55,000 this summer to help an estimated 23,000 students across all of Dane County. While this year’s supplies are ready to be sorted and delivered to schools, current charitable contributions of approximately $20,000 are far lower than past years.
