Community Action Coalition for South Central Wisconsin, Inc. (CAC) is a non-profit community action agency founded in 1966 as part of the War on Poverty.  CAC works with people affected by poverty through a variety of programs and services in Dane, Jefferson and Waukesha Counties. The ultimate goal is to help people move toward greater self sufficiency and have better lives.

CAC coordinates the annual Koats for Kids drive in partnership with Klinke’s Cleaners and Channel 3, which benefits thousands of households.   However, as the winter wears on, the need for warm winter clothing continues especially snow pants and boots for children.  These items are distributed at no charge through CAC’s Clothing Center which is located at 1717 N Stoughton Rd in Madison.  For more information on CAC programs please check out the website at www.cacscw.org
