One Transported Following Construction Site Collapse

Madison Fire Department paramedics transported a patient to UW Hospital this morning following a masonry collapse that briefly trapped a construction worker.
Crews were dispatched to 950 John Nolen Dr. at 7:38 a.m. for a report of an entrapment. When firefighters and medics arrived, workers at the site had freed their co-worker.
MFD personnel assisted in removing him from the work site and transported him from the scene within minutes.
The building under construction is a mixed-use property of residential and retail units scheduled for completion this summer. The location is the site of a 3-alarm fire that brought down an office building in April, 2012.
