Mayor Paul Soglin Statement Regarding President Obama’s Executive Action on Gun Control

I commend President Obama for his announced efforts today. We have too many gun deaths in our country and I applaud his multi-faceted efforts to make changes. From increasing treatment for mental health issues, to strengthening background checks to make them more efficient and effective, and increasing technology to reduce the frequency of accidental discharge and improving tracking for lost or stolen guns, these changes can make a difference.
