Fire To Home Causes $3,000 in Damage

Construction workers noticed smoke coming from a home at 504 Crestview Drive around 11:00 am this morning. They pounded on the door to alert the homeowners, but no one was home at the time of the fire. The construction workers called 911 from their cell phone to report the fire. Firefighters forced entry into the home, conducting a search and found no smoke or fire inside the single family, single story structure. Firefighters found a small fire on the outside of the structure, which was quickly extinguished. No injuries to report. Fire damage is estimated at $3,000 and is under investigation.
