Electrical Fault Cause of Crestview Fire

City of Madison Fire Investigators found that an electrical fault with arc, to be the cause of the Crestview fire. The original call to 911 was made at 10:54 am on Thursday, April 21st, when construction workers noticed smoke coming from a home at 504 Crestview Drive. The workers pounded on the door to alert the homeowners, but no one was home at the time of the fire. Firefighters forced entry into the home, conducting a search and found no smoke or fire inside the single family, single story structure. Firefighters found a small fire on the outside of the structure, where the fire originated within a wall space, and was quickly extinguished. No injuries were reported as a result of the fire.
