NORTHPORT DRIVE AND PACKERS AVENUE ROAD CONSTRUCTION

Project engineers preparing for final paving - Expect delays!

As drivers have experienced inconveniences related to road construction in the Northport Drive and Packers Avenue thoroughfares over the past few months, a final paving process will be underway on Thursday, October 27th, and Friday, October 28th of 2011. Drivers utilizing these particular roadways should be aware that delays are to be expected, as traffic will be restricted down to single lane travel in all directions. Taking these issues into account, drivers that will be attempting to access the Dane County Regional Airport or other destinations in the area should allow for additional driving time; as this necessary roadwork could create backups. Drivers are encouraged to use alternative routes if possible, and understand that they should use extreme caution while operating their vehicle around road crews that are improving Madison's streets.
