October Volunteer Spotlight: Edgewood Nursing Students (and Instructor!)

Nursing students from Edgewood College began visiting the Senior Center earlier this year. At that time, students spoke with Senior Center members to understand their concerns and needs, and as a result of those conversations created a mental health resource 1-page guide. Now a new group of Fall Semester students have joined us, again to assess the needs of Senior Center members and offer them companionship and resources. The positive energy of the Edgewood staff and students is infectious, and our members love having them around. They have assisted with taking blood pressure, setting up for our Health Resource Fair, playing pool and chess, and just being all around good listeners. Thank you, Edgewood students, for helping to brighten the mood while also offering important resources to our members!
