Statement of Mayor Paul Soglin on School Superintendent Jennifer Cheatham's Report on Entry Process

I want to congratulate Dr. Cheatham for hitting the ground running as she begins her leadership of the Madison Metropolitan School District. I support the priority initiatives she outlines in her Report on Entry Process. We agree that engaging families and community members as partners in a young person's educational success is crucial. The City of Madison looks forward to being one of those partners. I look forward to learning what Dr. Cheatham and staff determine the next action steps in the plan are, and being engaged as we move forward as a community.
