Two Opportunities to Learn and Share Ideas about Madison's Future
Next week will bring two great opportunities to learn about what’s going on in Madison and to share your ideas to help shape a brighter future for the City and its neighborhoods.
The first event is the City’s Economic Strategy Symposium on Wednesday, September 10 from 8am to 12pm at the Monona Terrace. This event is the kick-off to creating a new City-wide Economic Strategy. The two-part Symposium will bring together leaders from the City’s business community, government, non-profits, and educational institutions to discuss the current state of Madison’s economy and brainstorm ideas to build a more prosperous and equitable future. The second event is the City’s Neighborhood Conference. This full day event will bring together hundreds of neighborhood leaders from across Madison. This year’s theme is "Strong Leaders, Healthy Places" and the conference will be all inspiring opportunity to learn, share and network with your counterparts across our City. Over twenty workshops will feature relevant information, discussions, and action ideas to improve your neighborhood. This event is on Saturday, September 13 from 8am to 4:30pm at the Monona Terrace. These two distinct but inter-related events will be great opportunities to share ideas, learn about city initiatives, connect with neighbors and leaders across Madison, and help shape a healthy and prosperous future for our City. We hope you will consider attend either or both.
