    Due to the snow and cold weather, all courses are closed until further notice. The amount of snow we receive and how quickly it melts will determine the date that we can reopen.

The City of Madison, Wisconsin offers four unique municipal golf courses open to residents and visitors. Since 1927, the City of Madison Golf Courses has offered accessible and affordable golf in Madison. Four convenient golf courses for a truly unique golfing experience you won't find anywhere else in southern Wisconsin.

Task Force on Municipal Golf

In June 2019, a nine-member Task Force on Municipal Golf in Madison Parks was established by the Madison Common Council by resolution (RES-19-00456, Legistar #56004). The Task Force was charged with:

  • consider all options for the parkland currently in use for municipal golf
  • review available research, best practices and operational models related to municipal golf
  • solicit input from stakeholders
  • make recommendations to the Mayor, Common Council, Committees or Commissions on the future of the City's Municipal Golf Courses

The Task Force dissolved upon the submission of its recommendations to the Mayor, Common Council, and Board of Park Commissioners. The Final Report: File 61936 was approved by Madison Common Council in January 2021.
