Building Community Spirit: Midtown District Officers Join “Trunk or Treat” Halloween Events

posted

This Halloween season, Midtown District police officers joined in the fun at community “Trunk or Treat” events hosted in partnership with the Bayview/Braxton and Allied Drive neighborhoods. Patrol officers, Command, Neighborhood Police Officers, and CORE came together to celebrate with local families—handing out candy, sharing smiles, and enjoying meaningful conversations with youth and parents alike.

These events weren’t just about costumes and candy—they were about connection. Officers had the opportunity to engage with residents in a relaxed, family-friendly setting, helping build trust and strengthen relationships across the community.

MPD is proud to partner with neighborhood organizations that foster inclusion, safety, and community pride. Events like “Trunk or Treat” show that positive engagement can make a lasting difference—one conversation (and one candy bar) at a time.
