The Department of Planning, Community, and Economic Development (DPCED) consists of five separate divisions that frequently work together: Building Inspection (which also includes Zoning staff), Community Development, the Community Development Authority (CDA Housing Authority), Economic Development, and Planning.

The Office of the Director supports the overall administration of those divisions, advances department-wide initiatives, and aligns division activities with City priorities while providing communications and administrative services support.
