The Madison Police Department is excited to share that about 175 people stopped by our Spring Break Book Fair this week.

People of all ages were able to pick out free books, visit craft stations and connect with officers Monday afternoon.

"I think this is great ... Hosting the event at a police station made me feel safe, and providing crafts and books for different age groups was a nice touch," said Jade Stewart, who was among the attendees.

The event was hosted by the department's Community Outreach and Resource Education team at the Midtown Police Station.

Leftover books will be placed inside Little Free Libraries around Madison.
