Community Academy
We offer a free program designed to give people an inside look into how our department operates. Participants can expect to learn about staffing, investigations, mental health response, use of force, and the importance of community partnerships. The weekly lessons are interactive and participation is encouraged. Previous attendees have also enjoyed meeting our K9 and Mounted Patrol units.
Who Can Attend?
- Community member or frequent visitor to Madison
- 18+ years of age
- Have an interest in learning about MPD
- Must complete an application and waiver of liability
- Committed to attending all listed dates
Location
Madison Police Department District Stations and our Training Center.
Dates
Our next community academy starts April 2nd and meets weekly for 6-weeks from 6pm-8:30pm (with the exception of the last date which runs until 9pm).
