2019 Safe Passages Funding

The City of Madison, in partnership with Common Wealth Development Inc., applied for and received a grant from the US Department of Justice entitled "Our Neighborhood: A Safe and Beautiful Place". Through a process that incorporated community engagement on the South West Side of Madison, an Implementation Plan for these funds has been developed that included funding to provide a Safe Passage program to reduce youth conflict and connect youth to prosocial activities  in the Meadowood, Theresa Terrace and Park Edge/Park Ridge neighborhoods.  It is expected that a Safe Passage program funded under this grant will run from approximately Spring 2019 through September 2020.

Mandatory Workshop

All applicants must attend the mandatory workshop on March 21, 2019 at 1:00 pm at Good Shepherd Church, located at 5701 Raymond Road, or schedule a consult with staff in lieu of the workshop.
