The City of Madison is seeking proposals to place individuals from a target population of women, people of color and low-income City residents into registered construction trade apprenticeships and construction jobs in the Madison area. It is expected that the selected organization will do this, in part, through the development of strong working relationships with local registered apprenticeship programs, contractors and construction trade unions.

The City of Madison (City) Community Development Division (CDD) is seeking proposals from developers that would utilize the City's Affordable Housing Fund (AHF) to leverage 2017 WHEDA Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC's) including bond financing, to meet one or more of the objectives listed in the Request for Proposals. The City is interested in early coordination with developers to assemble a competitive application to WHEDA. The City intends for this process to maximize the competitiveness of applications to WHEDA that would result in LIHTC's awarded to proposals located in the City.
