Capital City Path at Williamson - Wilson - Blair
Starting June 10 work will continue on the utilities on Williamson St. which will close the sidewalk and path next to the Machinery Row building. During this time bicyclists will be detoured to the Capital City Path, which will be reopening. Bicyclists traveling west will be directed to use Paterson St to reach the Capital City Trail and bicyclists traveling east will once again be able to use the crossing at Williamson/Blair.
On Thursday, June 20 Wisconsin & Southern Railroad will replace the railroad track crossing at the East Wilson Street and South Blair Street intersection. Due to the nature of replacing the rails, this will require multi-day street closures. The Williamson St crossing of the Capital City Trail will remain open throughout the work. Bicyclists traveling to the Capitol Square will be able to continue up Wilson St on Thurs, June 20 and Fri, June 21 by following bike detour signage to go around the construction area. On Saturday and Sunday bicyclists will need to reach the Capitol Square by following Blount to Main St. Project Information.

Bluff St at Blackhawk Ave
Traffic Engineering has worked with the contractor to ensure that access is maintained as intended for bicycles and pedestrians through this intersection. Currently pedestrians and bicycles both need to cross via the crosswalk on the north side of the intersection (across Blackhawk). Black mats will be used to make crossing the gravel easier. Please yield to pedestrians in the crosswalk and on the sidewalk. The contractor will be implementing signage to direct bicycles and pedestrians to the crosswalk. The intersection is anticipated to reopen on Tues, June 18 but will be gravel so please exercise caution.
Beginning Mon, June 17 at 7am Buckeye Rd will be closed to traffic between Monona Dr and the S Stoughton Rd Service Rd for street reconstruction. The closure will last though November 2019.
