Meeting Registration Issue

Missing notifications for meetings on July 27, 2026

Some registrants did not receive the Zoom link for the meeting they registered for on July 27, 2026. We have identified three meetings that were impacted: Finance Committee, Plan Commission and Sustainable Madison Committee. 

We have determined why the meeting registration email notifications were not delivered that day.  Microsoft inadvertently flagged the (noreply[@]cityofmadison.com) email address as potentially sending spam and blocked those emails from being delivered.  It was likely a combination of a few different systems sending large numbers of emails in a short time frame.

We have taken steps to modify how some of these messages are being sent to prevent this from happening again.  This also revealed a gap in our alerting which has been addressed so that more people have awareness much sooner if we get flagged by Microsoft.

If you registered to speak under General Public Comment at any of these meetings, you have the option to register to speak at a future meeting.  Or, you may email members of the committees affected with your comments:
