- North-South BRT Public Meeting: Planning continues for North/South BRT. At the next round of meetings, the public can provide feedback and see changes made based on that input, including updated station locations and routing.

- Kestrel Park Public Input Meeting - Thursday, April 25, 2024: Madison Parks created a Park Development Plan for Kestrel Park that the Board of Park Commissioners approved on Wednesday, June 14, 2023. The community and park neighbors are invited to attend a second public input meeting and provide feedback on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at 6:00 PM via Zoom, as staff present the revised plans. Please REGISTER IN ADVANCE if you wish to attend.

- Transportation Commission: The Transportation Commission meeting will take place in virtual format on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at 5:00 PM. Agenda items include approving certain August Metro Transit bus stop changes, responding to WisDOT's I-39/90/94 Project Concurrence Point 2, and providing review and feedback on the Bartillon Path project.
- Housing Strategy Committee: The Housing Strategy Committee meeting will take place in virtual format on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at 5:00 PM. Agenda items include a presentation on displacement data, a review of a report comparing the approval process durations in the greater Madison area, and a staff report.

- Learn to Play Soccer with Forward Madison FC - Tuesday, April 23, 2024: Madison Parks and Forward Madison Football Club are partnering to bring you Learn to Play Soccer! This free event is perfect for kids ages 10-12, who will learn basic soccer skills and work through multiple skill stations. Advanced registration is required and may be done online or by calling 608-266-4711.
- Open House: Park & Open Space Plan - Thursday, April 25, 2024: The City of Madison Parks Division is updating its Park and Open Space Plan (POSP) and is seeking input from area residents on the plan! The purpose of the POSP is to guide and inform public parks policy and park facility decisions in the City of Madison.
- Wright Design Series: Wisconsin Women in Real Estate Development - Thursday, April 25, 2024: Three women developing real estate in Wisconsin will provide insight into current opportunities and challenges of real estate development from three women developing real estate in Wisconsin. Each will discuss their community-based approach, how they select projects, and highlight recently completed work.
- Bird & Nature Adventures - Saturday, April 27, 2024: Join a naturalist for an easy, family-friendly walk from Aldo Leopold Nature Center into beautiful Edna Taylor Conservation Park and enjoy a bit of nature education along the way. The walk will begin at the Aldo Leopold Nature Center, 330 Femrite Drive. Meet outside at the Children's Shack. No registration is required. No pets are allowed.
- Bird & Nature Festival 2024 - Sunday, April 28, 2024: The 2024 Bird & Nature Festival is a free, family-friendly event celebrating Madison Bird City, Arbor Day, and Earth Day. See live birds by Open Door Bird Sanctuary and visit nature displays throughout the day. Plan 30-45 minutes for your visit anytime between 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM during this ongoing event.

- Common Council votes to approve more housing options for residents: People in the City of Madison will have more access to another housing option after a unanimous vote from the city's Common Council.
- Lake Monona Waterfront Springs Closer to Reality: Madison Parks is pleased to announce Madison Common Council approved the Lake Monona Waterfront Master Plan! The Council's adoption of the plan sets a new community vision for one of the city's foremost public lakefronts.
- Monona Terrace Announces Concerts on the Rooftop Season: Monona Terrace is excited to announce its free summer Concerts on the Rooftop lineup!
- The 2024 Property Tax Base of the City of Madison: The City Assessor is responsible for the assessment process, including: (1) discovering all real and personal property that is subject to tax unless exempted by law; (2) listing all property characteristics used to determine value; and (3) valuing all property subject to property tax.
- Community Development Block Grants preserve hundreds of affordable housing units in Madison: Through federal Community Development Block Grant funding, the City of Madison awarded approximately $2 million in 2023 to help rehabilitate and preserve more than 300 affordable housing units.
- MPD starts body-worn camera pilot program: The Madison Police Department started its body-worn camera pilot program on Monday. Last summer, the Common Council voted in favor of the 90-day pilot program for officers in Madison's north district.
