- Finance Committee: The Finance Committee meeting will take place on Monday, August 25, 2025, at 4:30 p.m. in virtual format. Agenda items include accepting the Economic Development Division’s “2025 Small Business Assistance Policy Paper” as the foundation for structuring and conducting a Request for Proposals (RFP) process, an overview of the 2026 Operating Budget Requests and the Budget Process, and a discussion on the format for the 2026 Budget Deliberation Meeting.
- Plan Commission: The Plan Commission meeting will take place on Monday, August 25, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. in virtual format. Agenda items include staff updates on the Southwest and Southeast Area Plans, as well as development-related requests in Districts 4 and 12.

- Monday Mornings at The Glen - Monday, August 22, 2025: Enjoy The Glen for a stroll, nature, workout, or leashed dog walk from sunrise to 8:00 a.m. Tee times resume at hole #1 at 8:00 a.m. Visitors should be alert for golf balls and golfers while exiting the course.
- Drywall Installation and Repair by Project Home - Tuesday, August 26, 2025: Is your drywall work less than perfect? This comprehensive class takes the frustration out of drywall projects. We’ll cover everything from the basics to advanced techniques, including proper tool usage, selecting the right materials for any situation, and mastering the tricks of the trade for smooth finishes and invisible repairs.
- Dane Dances: V-Funk/Montage - Friday, August 29, 2025: Dane Dances is a free, family-friendly event held every Friday evening in August on the beautiful Monona Terrace rooftop. The much-anticipated summer music series promotes inclusivity for all ages and is a great way to get down and dance with your friends, family, or coworkers.

- Madison Hires New City Clerk: Mayor Satya Rhodes-Conway has appointed Lydia A. McComas to be the City of Madison’s next Clerk.
- Madison’s Triple-A Bond Rating Renewed: For the 52nd year in a row, Moody’s Investors Service has assigned the City of Madison the highest possible bond rating.
