"I'm hoping you can spread the word to your neighbors about the upcoming public information meetings regarding the new Fitchburg Police Facility:
- Wednesday, January 3, at the Park Bank Center, 1815 Greenway Cross, from 6-8 p.m.
- Thursday, January 4, at Fitchburg Fire Station #3 + Virtual, 2950 S Syene Rd, from 7-9 p.m.
- Saturday, January 6 at Blackhawk Church, 5935 Astor Dr, from 1-3 p.m.

Purpose-built and police-specific components, including
Booking/Processing

Evidence
Training areas
Defensive and arrest tactics/D.A.A.T
Multi-purpose fitness room
Tactical training bay with live fire capabilities (10 lane firing range)
Multi-purpose space that can host department and community events and can also be reserved
Cost
$49.2 million to construct (city had previously budgeted $35M). To be paid for over a 20 year term.
$639 thousand per year to operate
