Come to the Good Neighbor Gathering this Saturday!

posted

You are cordially invited to the first annual Good Neighbor Gathering this Saturday, September 28 at Brittingham Park.

Saturday is National Good Neighbor Day.  Representatives from all five neighborhoods in District 13 (Dudgeon-Monroe, Vilas, Greenbush, Monona Bay, and Bay Creek) joined together to organize this first-time event.

The Good Neighbor Gathering is a free, family-friendly, alcohol-free event with the goal of bringing people together and celebrating our diverse neighborhoods.

A bike corrall will be provided, and you're indeed encouraged to bike or walk to the event as parking is relatively limited.

We're not limiting attendance to District 13 residents; in fact, we welcome everyone in the city to join us in celebrating what it means to be a good neighbor!

In that spirit, there will be a volunteer activity to help clean up the shoreline at Bernie's Beach on the south side of Monona Bay, starting at 1pm.

At 3pm in Brittingham Park, expect lots of fun events for families and kids, with popular jams provided by Djay Mondo.

And don't miss the R&B soul-stirring groove of Kinfolk, who will be performing under the shelter starting at 6pm.

Food trucks will be available at the Park, and we'll have a variety of beverages available for free while they last.

Please come out and join us!
