Vilas Park Master Plan Survey No. 4 plus updates!

posted

Your neighbors in Greenbush and Vilas continue to seek your input in order to help shape the city's Vilas Park Master Plan (see https://www.cityofmadison.com/parks/projects/vilas-henry-park-master-plan).

This fourth survey is about parking issues related to the use of the park.

If you haven’t yet responded to the earlier three surveys, here are links to those:

Options for the section of Vilas Park near the intersection of Wingra and Erin Streets that has effigy mounds, the Annie C. Stewart Fountain, and dinosaur-themed play structures: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/CGNP6MQ

Suggestions for new features that might be included in the Vilas Master Plan: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/VilasFeatures

There will be additional opportunities to weigh in on Vilas Park planning issues (possibly including follow ups to these 4 surveys) after draft plans are developed by the consultants early in 2020 and again before the final Master Plan later in 2020.

For Vilas residents, the Vilas Neighborhood Association will host an open discussion to gather input for the Vilas Park Master Plan at its January 22nd meeting.  The meeting will be held at Hotel Red beginning at 7:00 pm.  All interested neighborhood residents are encouraged to attend.  Suggestions from the meeting will be shared with the City of Madison Parks Division and the consultants developing the plan.

For Greenbush residents, please remember that a very important opportunity for input is coming up:

Greenbush Neighborhood Meeting to gather input on the Vilas Park Master Plan, 6:15-8:00 PM, Monday, Jan 27, 2020Arboretum Cohousing, 1137 Erin St.

Thank you for your participation!
