District 13 Updates: Office Hours, Zoo Hours, Active Shooter Training, 2020 Census

Just a quick update....

I'll be holding my monthly office hours tomorrow morning, Friday, February 28, 7:30 am at Lakeside St. Coffee House at 402 W. Lakeside.  There's lots to talk about it, so come with your questions and concerns.

Henry Vilas Zoo will be holding a neighborhood meeting this next Monday, March 2, 6 pm at the Zoo's Glacier Grille to discuss expanding zoo hours.  Please come share your input.

Also on Monday, March 2, Madison Police Dept is offering free "active shooter" training at 6:30 pm at Longfellow School Auditorium (now Longfellow Lofts, across Brooks St from Meriter Hospital).  Sadly, this is the world we live in, made even more evident by the tragic events yesterday in Milwaukee.  The training is being sponsored by the Greenbush Good Neighbor Program and Neighborhood House.

You'll soon be getting a letter in the mail directing you to the online 2020 Census survey.  Please don't neglect to fill this out. It's critically important we get a complete count in terms of our access to federal resources to meet local needs.

Looks like warmer weather this weekend, up into the 50's. Spring will soon be here!
