We Want Your Input on Olbrich Park's - North Parcel Park Plan

Hi neighbors!

I wanted to make sure that everyone has a chance to give us input before the public meetings. Please take the time to fill out the survey.

I've heard talk about wanting to eleminate the parking from the proposal. Although, usually I'd be open to that, I want you all to consider the visitors, vendors at events open to the public and the business owners at Garver. There are quite a few visitors from outside of Madison that visit Garver & Olbrich Gardens for events and to just enjoy the facilities. The use of that parking as overflow for visitors will greatly enhance their experience and hopefully entice them to return.

The survey will be open from November 2 - November 26. Survey results will be shared at the first public meeting.

Public Input Meeting #1

Thursday, December 7 at 6:00pm via Zoom - REGISTER IN ADVANCE
Staff will present background information, survey results, draft plans, listen to feedback, and answer questions.

Public Input Meeting #2

Expected to occur in late February. Exact date is to be determined.

Project Timeline

• Winter 2023-2024: Park Development Plan process
• Spring 2024: Park Development Plan approval by the Board of Park Commissioners
• Summer 2024:  Development of construction plans for phase 1 of park development
• Fall and Winter 2024-2025: Phase 1 construction project bidding and contract award
• Spring 2025: Start of phase 1 construction
