Kettle Pond Park Prescribed Burn Today (Sunday March 10)
postedVolunteers led by botanist Joshua Sulman will conduct a prescribed burn of prairie at Kettle Pond Park under the Parks prescribed burn permit, and an approved site-specific burn plan. The burn will cover less than one acre.
The burn will commence at 3:30 pm this afternoon, if weather remains in prescription of our permit conditions, per the Madison Fire Dept. permit. Sulman will make MFD and Dane Co. Dispatch calls just prior to ignition.
