Learn More About Madison's Efforts to Protect and Enhance Our Urban Tree Canopy

posted

At the beginning of the Common Council's June 4 meeting, city staff gave a detailed presentation on Madison's efforts to protect our trees and to increase the City's tree canopy overall. As interesting as the presentation were the extensive questions and comments from Alders. As someone said: "Madisonians love to talk about trees and bikes."

Staff has isolated that section of the Council meeting and posted it on YouTube and other social media.

Note especially, that to achieve the City's goal of a 40% tree canopy, private landowners will need to do their part.
