Meeting: Monona Terrace Tunnel Lighting Project

posted

You are invited to attend a public informational meeting to learn more about the City’s plan to replace the current tunnel lighting on John Nolen Drive under the Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center. The goal of the project is to improve safety along the existing roadway by replacing the existing lighting that has been damaged by snow and stormwater runoff. The existing lighting system will be replaced with non-corrosive materials and light emitting diode (LED) fixtures. In addition to tunnel lighting and controls, potential infrastructure for aesthetic lighting will be evaluated for future installation.

The virtual public meeting will be held on Thursday, February 22 at 6:30 p.m. Join the meeting virtually using your computer, smartphone or tablet, or you can listen in via telephone. You will receive login information after registering. At the meeting learn more about the tunnel lighting design, construction timeline, and provide feedback on potential future decorative lighting options.
