Madison Night Market Returns

The first Madison Night Market of 2024 will be held on Thursday, May 9, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the heart of downtown. This is the first of five markets for the 7th Annual Madison Night Market season. Vendors showcase handmade products, local art, artisan gifts, prepackaged foods and fresh produce. The event includes live music, special visiting food carts and pop-up restaurant experiences.

For the first time, the market is expanding to North Carroll Street and West Mifflin Street on the Capitol Square, in addition to State Street and a portion of West Gilman Street, welcoming more local artisans and food vendors. More than 110+ vendors will join in the event. Live musical performances are at Lisa Link Peace Park, 452 State Street, and pre-contracted musicians will be along State Street.

Markets will be held the second Thursday of the months of May, June, August and September, with a special market on Thursday, October 17 to be held in partnership with Science on the Square. Madison Night Market is presented by Madison’s Central Business Improvement District (BID) in partnership with the City of Madison.

All Metro Transit buses detour from State Street and a portion of the Capitol Square for the duration of the event. Further details of the detour are available.
