Construction updates, Meetings, and fun events!
postedHello neighbors,
I have good news and bad news. The good news is that the construction on University Avenue, including installation of the new BRT shelters, is on track to be completed by November. The bad news is the Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District has just informed the City that they need to replace the sewer pipe that is directly underneath the off-ramp from Campus Drive onto Highland, and the on-ramp from Highland onto University. This means the Highland-University intersection is destined to be impacted by construction for about 6 weeks next spring/early summer. If you’re like me, you’re probably sighing with construction fatigue, but this is the price of progress! I wanted you to have the heads-up about this as soon as possible, so you’d understand when traffic is diverted next spring.
