Marquette Bungalows

History

In 1924, Karrels Realty and Building Development Company developed these two blocks as attainable housing for Madison's middle class.

While one Victorian house remained, the other 47 lots contain single-story bungalows. While the houses are of a similar size and scale, architectural details set them apart.

The Common Council named this our fourth historic district in 1993.
