Firefighter Fun Day 2015 is Saturday, August 8

Meet us without the emergency! Join us at Fire Station 5 (4418 Cottage Grove Road) on Saturday, August 8 for Firefighter Fun Day. From 1:00-4:00 p.m., we’ll have food, face painting, activities, fire prevention resources, rig tours, a balloon twister, music, and more.
 
We will take you on station tours, and you’ll have the opportunity to meet your neighborhood firefighters! Station 5 houses the following vehicles:

• Engine 5: A 2010 Pierce Quantum Engine with a 1250 gallon per minute fire pump, 500-gallon water tank, and ground ladders, fire hose, and tools. It also carries emergency medical equipment including a defibrillator, oxygen, and immobilization gear.
   
• Medic 5: A 2014 Braun Advanced Life Support Paramedic ambulance.

If we’re met with rain on August 8, Firefighter Fun Day will take place on Sunday, August 9 instead. Parking is available off-site, and all minor children must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times.
