Meet the MFD's Newest Firefighters

Earlier this year, the Madison Fire Department welcomed Recruit Class 9 to its neighborhood fire stations.

Their arrival coincided with that of COVID-19. As the pandemic swept through Dane County and forced the MFD to quickly adapt to new safety guidelines and emergency medical procedures, this group of former healthcare workers, coaches, educators, and more rose to the challenge with the support of their Fire and EMS Academy trainers and their crews.
