Engine 5 Responds for Fire Discovered in Back of Laundry Truck

Engine 5 was dispatched to 1212 N. Stoughton Road, where a fire was discovered in the back of a semi-trailer. Firefighters were met by a witness who said one of the trailers was smoking and full of laundry. He said he opened the back door and saw flames and smoke before quickly closing the door again.

Firefighters pulled a bumper line, opened the trailer, and sprayed foam and water to quickly extinguish and cool any fire inside. A thermal imaging camera was used to isolate the specific area of origin. Those involved racks of laundry were removed from the trailer, and their contents were separated and soaked with water and foam.
