Lane Closures, University Ave-Mendota-Grassman Greenway Flood Mitigation and Restoration Design

Starting on Tuesday, May 28th, University Avenue, from Capital Avenue to Heim Ave, will see several traffic pattern changes occurring throughout the duration of the project, with most stages reducing both directions to one lane on University Ave.  We ask that anyone traveling through this area use caution and pay attention to the traffic control measures placed along the route, as they will change over the course of project completion.

Proposed work includes restoration of the greenways that are adjacent to the culverts on Camelot Dr and University Ave, which will be graded and restored with native seed and matting following the installation of the culverts. Until then, water will pool in the greenway behind the culverts. Once the culverts are installed the greenway should flow more efficiently to the lake.
