City of Madison Kicks Off National Small Business Week with 2025 Familiarization Tour

posted

We are thrilled to announce the highly anticipated 2025 Small Business FAM Tour! Join us on Saturday, May 3, at 10 a.m. as we kick off National Small Business Week with an inspiring welcome address by Mayor Satya Rhodes-Conway. Following this, our esteemed group of alders and city leaders will embark on an exciting journey aboard one of Madison Metro Transit's upgraded battery-electric, zero-emission buses. This tour will feature a carefully curated selection of seven exceptional small businesses that exemplify our community's diversity in ownership, size, and industry.

Organized by the Office of the Common Council in partnership with the Office of Business Resources and Metro Transit, this economic development tour is designed to showcase the vital support that the Office of Business Resources provides to our local small business community.

This year, we are delighted to have Alders/Entrepreneurs Sabrina Madison and Dina Nina Martinez-Rutherford and Jason Ilstrup, President of Downtown Madison, Inc., as our engaging emcees. Together, they will guide us through a day that celebrates innovation, entrepreneurship, and the resilience of our small business sector.
