
No Streets Division Collections or Drop-off on Juneteenth, Thursday, June 19, 2025
There will be no recycling, trash, brush, or large item collections performed by the City of Madison Streets Division on Thursday, June 19, 2025 in observance of the Juneteenth holiday.
The Streets Division drop-off sites and offices will also be closed.
Trash & Recycling Collection
Madison residents who normally have their trash and recycling collected on Thursdays by the Streets Division should instead place their scheduled cart(s) out for pickup by 6:30 a.m. on Friday, June 20, 2025.
Residents who have their trash and recycling collection scheduled for Friday should have their cart(s) out for emptying by 6:30 a.m. on June 20 as well.
Residents who set out carts after 6:30 am may miss their scheduled collection and will need to wait until the next scheduled pickup day.
Drop-off Sites Information
The Streets Division drop-off sites will be closed on Thursday, June 19, 2025.
They will reopen for their regular posted hours on Friday, June 20, 2025.
Check the Streets Division website to learn the locations, their operating hours, and the material they accept.
The Olin Avenue drop-off site is closed on Fridays. This site will be closed on Friday, June 20 per the normal course of business.
Large Item Collection Information
Large item collection will occur as throughout the week. It will pause for the holiday of June 19, and it will resume collecting any remaining scheduled stops on Friday, June 20.
If your scheduled large item pickup has not occurred by the holiday, please keep the scheduled item, or items, out for collection so crews can collect it when work resumes following the holiday.
