This is the final week for you to bring scraps to a farmers’ market drop-off site.

The sites will accept pumpkins, pumpkin innards from your carved jack-o-lanterns, coffee grounds, eggshells, and other husks, peelings, and so on from fruits and vegetables.

Update on the Food Scraps Goal: It’s Going to Be Close!

Our goal for 2025 is to collect 40,000 pounds of food scraps, which is roughly the weight of a small herd of bison.

As of the publication of this release, we have collected approximately 38,600 pounds of scraps for composting.

This means we are 1,400 pounds short of the goal. That’s less than one bison and we have one week to go.

We are so close. We can do this.

Just round up your scraps and bring them to one of our sites so they can join the herd.
